Kuala Lumpur: The 8,120 new teachers who have successfully completed phase two and three interviews as part of the special recruitment exercise can now check their placement details. Senior Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin (pictured) said newly hired teachers will start reporting for work on March 1. “To those who have succeeded, congratulations and all the best in your duties.
“Seize this opportunity to earnestly work towards producing a great generation of teachers,” he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. The ad hoc recruitment exercise, which involves the hiring of 18,702 teachers, should make up for the shortage of educators in certain subjects nationwide. Radzi said the Ministry of Education (MOE) will continue to work closely with the appointing authority, the Education Services Commission (SPP), to expedite appointments and placements of remaining vacancies.
He said it was very important to fill teaching vacancies, especially for the upcoming school term. “InsyaAllah, the MOE will work to resolve this long-standing issue. Please continue to lend your support for the sake of the future generations of the country,” he added. * Follow us on instagram and join our Telegram and or WhatsApp channel(s) for the latest news you don’t want to miss.
