Dungeons & Dragons Online celebrates its 16th anniversary and definitely unlocks more races and classes for free

The latest update for Dungeons & Dragons Online, Hunter and Hunted Update 53 will be released tomorrow. The update includes a new Adventure Pack, the return of the Anniversary Event to celebrate ddo’s 16th year, and several races and classes from the main D&D Players Handbook have now been permanently unlocked for free to everyone.
The new Hunter and Hunted content pack is included for VIPs and available for purchase in the DDO store. It contains two dungeons that end a level 32 raid on legendary difficulty. The quests included in the content are level 7 on heroic difficulty. If you are looking for something new, you can start your adventure tomorrow.
The anniversary event is back and because it’s the 16th year of DDO , they offer cosmetic outfits that will be bound to the account once obtained. Once per day, characters can go talk to the Anniversary Djinn outside the Anniversary Dungeon and choose an outfit once per day until December 31, 2022. The Anniversary Event itself runs until March 20. There are several new items including masks and caplets and even new changes, new dialogues, secrets and jokes to this year’s events. There are also several previous birthday gifts in the barter vendors’ stock.
Everyone will also be able to play the following D&D Player’s Handbook races as free permanent unlocks. The races now unlocked are Dragonborn, Drow, Gnome, Half-elf, Half-orc, Tiefling, and Wood-elf. Newly unlocked classes are Druid, Monk, and Warlock. Players who have already purchased these races and classes will receive a Greater Elixir of Discovery for each they owned prior to the release of Update 53.
With the Drow being permanently unlocked for all, Warforged will now be awarded per server at 400 favors. If you have already reached 400 and unlocked Drow, you will unlock Warforged upon login.
The rest of the update is about some class tweaks and UI changes along with other improvements, and you can read the full list here.
