The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has introduced “self-serve stations” where taxpayers can file tax returns, pay taxes, request and validate tax clearance certificates, among other services, on their own on online platforms located in FIRS tax offices across the country. .

According to a press release from Johannes Wojuola, the initiative aims to support taxpayers in the optimized use of the TaxPro Max solution.

“As part of the Service’s effort to improve voluntary tax compliance, the self-service kiosks will, among other things, allow taxpayers to perform the following services online at the tax office: filing tax returns; Pay taxes; request and validate TCCs; generating receipts and credit notes,” reads a FIRS statement.

The statement added that to make it more convenient for taxpayers, self-service stations have designated agents readily available to assist taxpayers with any technical difficulties or concerns that may arise.

The service encourages taxpayers to take advantage of the self-service kiosks to fulfill their tax obligations.
