Free Online Easier Green Gardening Course

WSU Whatcom County Extension is offering a free online short course in sustainable landscaping on Thursdays March 3-24.
This short online course called Gardening Green will help residents of Whatcom County create beautiful gardens that require less water and little to no fertilizer or pesticides, while nourishing the soil and helping to keep our lakes, rivers and other clean waters.
The class will meet online via Zoom on Thursdays, March 3 to March 24 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Participants will receive worksheets, helpful videos and online resources that they can use to practice the principles of sustainable landscaping in their own gardens, whether they are creating a new landscape from scratch or they improve an existing garden.

WSU Extension will be offering another facilitated green gardening class at the Lynden Library (in person!) in April. If you would like to be notified when registration opens for this course, please contact Cheryl using the same contact details above.
And finally, WSU Extension offers an online self-paced green gardening course throughout the year. Learn more here: https://extension.wsu.edu/whatcom/nr/gardening-green/ or contact Cheryl.
