MG Motor India has partnered with augmented reality and digitization startup Eccentric Engine to launch a first-of-its-kind online viewing platform that leverages augmented reality for a digital showroom experience filled with customer service representatives giving very visceral access to potential customers all over the world. time. Initially, the service will be launched in select Tier 1 cities, but by Q2, MG Motor plans wider access that will be available 24/7.
MG Motor also indicates that the sales representatives of the various dealerships are also being trained and that they will also be available to customers through this online platform. Using technology developed by Eccentric Engine, MG Motor will deploy an advanced car configurator that leverages augmented reality that works on all devices like mobile phone, tablet or PC by synchronizing with browsers on all platforms. This car configurator will also show how the accessories will look on the car and also offer financing options.
