Nancy Ann Pelland Obituary – Worcester Telegram & Gazette

Nancy Ann Pelland passed away peacefully in the comfort of hospice care in Fort Myers. She died shortly after celebrating her 75th birthday with her loving family at her Cape Cod home. Nancy was so full of life and spirit from her birth in Chicago to her death in Florida. She was truly the life of the party and loved life, her family and her friends. She loved the beach and travelling, enjoying life to the fullest and encouraging that for everyone. Nancy was happily married for 52 years to Richard Remi Pelland. They met and married in Uxbridge, MA. She is survived by her husband and mother, Helen Stefanik. She has three daughters, Debbie, Robyn and Karyn, who will continue to celebrate their mother’s life and wisdom. She is also survived by her sons-in-law and 5 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and cousins, a niece and a nephew and an uncle. She wanted his legacy of devotion to special needs education. She is a graduate of Worcester State University and Fitchburg State College. She touched so many lives as an inspirational teacher who treated her students and fellow teachers like family. She has taught in the Northbridge and Falmouth school systems. Nancy was an active parishioner at Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Columkille Church. She was a competitive figure skater who won gold at the world recreational skating competition. In paradise, she is welcomed by her father John Stefanik, her brother James Stefanik, her grandson Justin Parker and her loving grandparents and many aunts and uncles and loving souls. Visitation will be Thursday, June 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 3778 Falmouth Rd., Marstons Mills. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Notre-Dame de l’Assomption Church, 76 Wianno Avenue, Osterville. Burial at Marstons Mills Cemetery.
