School education department asks schools to follow online and offline course schedules

Srinagar: The School Education Department on Friday ordered the Head of Institutions (HoI) of all public and private schools to observe the online and offline class schedule.
He also indicated that principals are allowed to organize offline pre-boarding exams for the 10th and 12th sessions 2020-21 of the classes.
According to the order, elementary students from 1st to 5th standard, online synchronous learning will be carried out for three sessions of 30-45 minutes each school day.
The department also said that in the case of grades 6 to 8 (elementary), online synchronous learning will be undertaken for four sessions of 30 to 45 minutes each school day.
âFor grade 9 to 12, synchronous online learning should be undertaken for no more than five 30-45 minute sessions per school day and in addition all schools should follow a routine schedule for grades 6 to 12th through blended learning to ensure completion of the prescribed curriculum well in advance of the annual review.
Jammu and Kashmir State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and the District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) to provide offline teacher training with a small gathering to 25 people â, we read.
It further states that for the 10th and 12th grades, the in-person teaching of the students, the instructions issued by the Department of the District Development Authority should be followed in letter and spirit.
