There is a silver lining for medical students who were evacuated from Ukraine and its neighboring countries after Russia launched a “military operation” on February 24. Their teachers, despite being stuck in the war-torn country, have started online classes.
Recently, Kharkiv International Medical University issued a statement online for its students to get assistance from the nearest medical colleges and universities in their countries for practical courses.
Ambuj Soni, who is suing MBBS, said little hope emerged after online classes resumed. He said: “Our teachers who have taken refuge in different parts of Ukraine are teaching classes online. They also send presentations.

Saumya, a fifth-year MBBS student, said that although there is no regular schedule for online classes, their doubts are being cleared up.
Presenting a statement received from the Ukrainian university, she said that she had asked them to approach the nearest university or hospital for cooperation in conducting practical courses. “I will approach the Government Medical College, Amritsar, to seek their support.”
Kayinaat Mahajan, a second-year student, said, “The online course lasts two hours. Before, we had four classes of two hours each on campus. Staff send us essays.
