New gaming labs will be set up days after Ting’s esports debut at the Tom Tom Festival

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 21, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – ting interneta division of Tucows (NASDAQ: TCX) (TSX: TC), announced that it is building a state-of-the-art esports gaming facility at both Charlottesville High School and Monticello High School to support school esports teams and help unlock new opportunities and career paths for students.

To complement the new play labs, Charlottesville High School and Monticello High School will run an elective program for students to learn about careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) and available grants in these fields. Both facilities are expected to be completed by the end of the school year and will be accessible to thousands of students as a permanent facility in the Charlotteville community for years to come.

Bringing the excitement of esports to the wider Charlotteville community, Ting is also hosting a two-day inaugural gaming event during the upcoming TomTom festival.
